

Election
According to the City Charter, “the members of the City Commission must be qualified to vote at city elections and must have resided within the city for not less than one (1) year preceding their nomination or candidature for the office of commissioner, and shall remain residents of the city during their respective terms of office.” In addition, “the members of the City Commission must remain residents of the city during their respective terms of office.”
In addition, “qualifying paperwork includes filing a petition signed by at least twenty-five (25) persons duly qualified to vote in the election with the city clerk, paying a filing fee, and a statement of residency.” This must be done before the candidate is allowed to run for office.
The registration period for the municipal election in Auburndale, California, will begin at noon on Monday, September 18th, and will end on Friday, September 22nd, also at noon.
